What is a chemical peel? 
A chemical peel uses acid to remove layers of damaged or aged skin, revealing newer, softer, younger-looking skin. At DermaSmooth Boutique our licensed Estheticans conduct a thorough skin analysis to determine the skin type ranging from dry, oily, combination, or sensitive. Based on those factors is how we'll determine a chemical peel. Glycolic Acid targets Hyperpigmenation, Aging, Tone and Texture. Salycyclic Acid targets acne and Lactic Acid focus on discoloration, loose skin and pore size.  

How is a chemical peel performed? 
DermaSmooth Boutique Chemical peels will be performed by a trained skin aesthetician or technician.  Before the treatment, your skin will be cleansed to remove any make-up or natural surface oils. The chosen chemical will be applied gently to your skin. After a specified length of time, your Esthetican will neutralize the acid and gently remove it, which is then treated with one of our medical grade moisturizers.
