How do I prepare for my laser hair treatment?
* Do not pluck, tweeze, use a depilatory or have electrolysis done in the area you wish to have treated 6 weeks prior to treatment. Shaving or trimming the hair is OK.
* Hair should be shaved 48-72 hours prior to treatment.
* No tanning (self-tanner, tanning bed, spray tan, etc.) for 2-4 weeks prior to treatment.
* Works best on clean/dry skin. Please remove any make-up, lotion, body oil, perfume and jewelry prior to your appointment.
Why is laser a better option over electrolysis?
With electrolysis, each hair is individually destroyed one follicle at a time, is time consuming, costly and has the potential for scarring. A laser has a much greater coverage area, penetrates several hair follicles with each pulse and has temporary or zero damage to the skin’s surface. While electrolysis can eliminate fine and light hairs, the results of a laser treatment are safer, faster, less painful and the most economical solution for unwanted hair growth.
